Call to Worship
L The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness–on them light has shined.
P Light breaks forth like the dawn when the bonds of injustice are loosened, when the thongs of the yoke are undone, and when the oppressed are set free.
L The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it.
P When bread is shared with the hungry; when people stop pointing fingers and start satisfying the needs of the afflicted; when we stop ignoring the needs of our own brothers and sisters … then our light shall rise in the darkness, and our gloom shall be like the noonday sun.
All Let us worship our Lord, the light of the world!
